What is Walk & Talk Therapy? Walk & Talk Therapy is a type of therapy which combines counselling with gentle mindful walks in nature. The rhythm of walking and the beauty of the natural world create a powerful, supportive setting within which to explore difficult life experiences, process emotions and gain mental clarity around things you may be struggling with.
Is it effective? Combining Counselling, Mindfulness and Nature Walks creates this powerhouse of possible benefits:
reduced stress & anxiety

help breaking negative habits
better sleep
better emotional regulation & stability
reduced pain & fatigue in people with chronic pain
increased resilience
improved fitness
greater peace of mind
How does it work?
I'll meet you at a chosen location in Great Malvern for a 1 hour session and we will return to the start location at the end. You can choose to spend the whole session walking, or choose to sit down at various points along the way. I will choose a route that is suitable for your level of fitness and mobility. You can choose to bring a dog or 2 along if you have one, or ask me to bring mine if you would like the additional canine company!
Before we have a Walk & Talk session, we will have an Initial Consultation which can be held in person, on the phone or online. We will also talk through what happens if you see someone you know, confidentiality and other questions you may have.
I am also qualified in a variety of different therapies (EMDR, BWRT, Expressive Arts, BodyTalk) and can combine Walk & Talk with indoor sessions using other modalities if that appeals to you.
